Surveys & Prize Draws

Surveys & Prize Draws

A Malvern-focused research survey designed to help protect and improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.

Who is INTERACT?

The INTerventions, Equity, Research, and Action in Cities Team (INTERACT) is a pan-Canadian collaboration of scientists, urban planners, public health practitioners, and community partners uncovering the impact of urban changes on health and equity. Since 2017, Montréal, Victoria, Saskatoon, and Vancouver have been surveyed.

What is INTERACT Malvern?

It is our Malvern-specific version of the INTERACT Team's Canada-wide survey. Completing the survey will help us better understand how the health and wellbeing of Malvern's residents can be protected.

This research project is supervised by Prof. David Roberts (UofT). Our Greenway revised the survey questions, and responses are collected through a fully confidential online portal using Polygon's Advanced Survey Infrastructure.

How do I complete the survey?

What does the INTERACT Malvern survey ask?

The full INTERACT Malvern survey has three parts:

Part 1: Spotlight on Your Priorities

“If major redevelopment is coming to Malvern, what priorities matter most to you?” (approximately 2–3 minutes)

  • Rank the themes in each of four Priority Areas from most to least important to you.
  • All 20 themes were crafted by our Community Reference Group members.
  • Your rankings will help guide what matters most if redevelopment happens. You can also suggest your own ideas.

Part 2: Spotlight on Your Health

“How healthy, secure, and supported do you feel?” (approximately 15–20 minutes)

  • Explore how you get around and how you feel about living in Malvern.
  • Answer questions about health, housing, and connections with your neighbours.
  • Help track changes in Malvern over time so we can push for the supports residents need.

Part 3: Spotlight on Your Activities

“How do you get around and spend your time day-to-day?” (approximately 10–15 minutes)

  • Use our mapping tool to plot the places in Malvern you know best, including the stores and hangouts that make up your local routine.
  • Your maps will help show how mobility, social networks, and neighbourhood design connect, guiding improvements that work for how Malvern residents actually live.
