In October, over 75 local community members, organizations, and groups came together at the Malvern Aboriginal Child and Family Centre to discuss the future of Malvern and the proposed redevelopment of the Malvern Town Centre.

- Learning about equitable development and community wealth-building strategies
- Participatory “dotmocracy” activities on development, housing, and transportation
- Information on how to stay involved through a Community Resource Group

Community Resource Group
- These meetings were held monthly at the Malvern Aboriginal Child and Family Centre from December 2025 to June 2026.
- Community members of all ages from East and West Malvern were invited to participate.
- Sessions provided a space to share feedback, ideas, and perspectives on the MyMalvern vision.
- Input gathered helped shape priorities, needs, and concerns for the redevelopment of Malvern Town Centre.
- The results will be shared with the community through our survey and report materials from June to December 2026.
Technical Advisory Group
- The first meeting was held at Brown + Storey Architects, with additional sessions online.
- Participants include professionals from planning, architecture, academia, Indigenous affairs, advocacy, procurement and social purpose real estate.
- Three smaller working groups were formed to develop strategies for key project objectives.
- Our technical experts discussed place making design ownership and transportation.
- Their reviews of the Community Resource Group's priorities will be presented at our July 8th launch event.
